Nick Stock (2010 Vintage) says
Hailing from South Canterbury s Waitaki Valley, this wine shows slightly subdued red cherry and plummy fruit, supported by a raft of spice and light, smoky oak. Seems to water down on the palate a little, and the finish is slightly truncated.

Michael Cooper (2008 Vintage) says
Grown in South Canterbury, the 2008 vintage was fermented with indigenous yeasts, oak-aged for a year, and bottled without fining. It's a medium-bodied red, very fresh and vibrant, with cherry, plum, spice and herb flavours, showing good complexity and depth. It's more leafy than its Waitaki Valley stablemate (below), but more concentrated.
