Passing Clouds Graeme's Blend (Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon)

Expert Reviews

Jeremy Oliver (2006 Vintage) says
A spicy red blend whose fragrant, if somewhat rustic bouquet of sweet red and black berries, violets and plums is coupled with vanilla oak and backed by nuances of dried herbs and meaty, earthy elements. Elegant, fine-grained and dusty, with a long, juicy core of intense blackberry flavour tightly knit with fresh vanilla oak and a fine spine of dusty tannins, it finishes with regional notes of mint and menthol.

Jeremy Oliver (2005 Vintage) says
An honest, floral, slightly herbal and peppery red blend whose lively flavours of sweet plums, blackberries, raspberries and cranberries are backed by rather restrained cedar/vanilla oak and framed by a slightly hard and green-edged extract of fine-grained tannins. It's long, measured and restrained, finishing with a lingering core of minty berry flavours.

Jeremy Oliver (2004 Vintage) says
A natural, balanced and moderately firm red with a heady, briary summer pudding-like fragrance of small red and black berries with minty, spicy undertones. Long and even, smooth and supple, its slightly meaty palate of berry-like fruit reveals dusty undertones of dried herbs, finishing firm and drying. Would have done credit to some better oak.

Jeremy Oliver (2003 Vintage) says
An honest, smooth and approachable red blend with a rustic menthol-like bouquet of sweet plums, red berries and hints of cassis backed by slightly meaty, leathery undertones, cedar/vanilla oak and undertones of forest floor. Its moderately long and slightly minty palate of cranberries, blackberries and plums is supported by restrained older oak influences and supported by supple tannins.
