James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Abundant, concentrated and sweet, ripe fruit with plenty of vanilla oak
Australian Wine Companion 2009 2008
Peter Forrestal (2005 Vintage) says
Jason and Paul Conti have been releasing a shiraz under this Pemberton label since 2000 and this is their best wine to date from the vineyard. There is a depth that you rarely find at this price point - concentrated savoury blackberry and dark plum flavours, silky texture, quite lean and long.

James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says
Medium red-purple; the bouquet has savoury/spicy notes, touches of leather and fresh red fruits; an elegantly framed palate with savoury/cherry flavours, fine tannins, good balance and length. A blend of Pemberton and Carabooda (Swan District) grapes.
Australian Wine Companion 2004 2003
James Halliday (1999 Vintage) says
Youthful, medium to full red-purple; clean black cherry fruit, a hint of spice and a whiff of oak introduce an elegant, nicely weighted and balanced palate, with background hints of spice and game.
