Still strong purple; has the same concentration and structure as the '08, the fruit more plush (a low-yielding vintage), sweet spiced plum flavours in the ascendant.

Seems quite developed for its age, with notes of stem and toasty oak; overall has elegance, and good intensity, but is best drunk sooner rather than later.

Fragrant nuances of flowers and violets on the bouquet; delicate, fresh and lively red fruits are appealing, but the overall style is more to rose than conventional pinot.

Medium-bodied; gently spicy, savoury; has a nice core of sweet fruit, then good length and persistence. Possibly some volatile acidity.

Medium red, with the purple just starting to diminish; a fragrant and stylish bouquet has a mix of savoury, leafy and spicy aromas underpinned by sweet damson plum and strawberry fruit. The palate really takes off, with masses of character and style, yet retaining elegance, the whole anchored around the mix of ripe (but not overripe) spicy/plummy fruit. Multiple trophy winner, including Best Wine of Show at the 2002 Tasmanian Wines Show.
