Pegasus Bay Gewurztraminer

Australian Gourmet Traveller Wine Magazine (2010 Vintage) says
Aromatic, fleshy Gewurztraminer with classic Turkish Delight and rose petal flavours together with an appealing clove spice character. Bold, flavoursome wine with class. A generous 14 per cent alcohol adds weight and some sweetness.

Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
The memorable 2009 vintage is from vines planted at Waipara in the 1970s. Hand-picked at 28 brix and fermented with indigenous yeasts in old French barrels, it has a ravishingly full-bloomed bouquet, perfumed and complex, leading into a weighty palate (14 per cent alcohol) with superbly concentrated, spicy, gingery flavours. Made in a medium style (26 grams/litre of residual sugar), it's a commanding, deliciously harmonious wine with a powerful presence.
