We all know that Chardonnay is back on exceptional form in this country, so where does that leave the rest of the world? Well the French still turn out some tidy examples and as Burgundy is the hallowed home of the most expensive Chardy on the planet we thought you might like to try this. Luckily this is affordable estate picked Burgundy so it won’t cost an arm and a leg. It smells of stone fruit and citrus with a hay like complexity before a broad palate of tropical fruit, some minerals and cleansing natural acids.
Pale yellow in colour with bright green highlights. The nose is fresh and lively with citrus and stone fruit aromas matched to crushed herb and straw. The palate is fruit driven with a rich depth of ripe tropical fruit and guava before crisp mineral acidity delivers a precise and cleansing finish.
