Cracka Review

Pepper Tree may be a beacon of Hunter Valley quality but they draw on vineyards from all over the country. This Shiraz is pure Limestone Coast in its intensity, it’s dark and spicy with subtle oak and densely concentrated. We could think of no better advert for turning on the BBQ hotplate and cooking a steak for this wine. It’s balanced with a core of sweet, berry fruit and soft, grainy tannins.

Winemaker's Notes

"A complex nose of dark berry fruits with a heady mix of lifted spice notes integrated well with subtle French oak. Rich and concentrated, this wine displays sweet mid palate fruit with complex spice flavours. The nicely structured finish is balanced well by subtle ripe tannins."

Winemaker: Jim Chatto

Bright purple -crimson; a fragrant bouquet of red cherry, plum and spice leads fluidly into a vibrant medium-bodied palate, fine tannins and spicy notes supporting the fruit.

An elegant, fluid wine, almost a role reversal with the Reserve Orange Shiraz; light- to medium-bodied red and black fruits; fine tannins and oak.

Medium-bodied, a range of sweet, red berry damson plum and mint aromas, all attesting to the cool climate of Orange.
