Peregrine Wentworth Pinot Noir

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2002 Vintage) says
Estate-grown in the Wentworth Vineyard, at Gibbston, in Central Otago, the debut 2002 vintage was matured for 10 months in French oak barriques (30 per cent new). Boldly coloured, it's deliciously mouthfilling and supple, with concentrated plum, cherry and spice flavours, hints of coffee and herbs, firm tannins and a long, rich finish. Still in its infancy, it's currently more restrained than its lower-priced stablemate (above) and needs time; open late 2004+.
