Pertaringa Tin Man Tempranillo Graciano Garnacha

Cracka Review

Unoaked and full of flavour, the Tin Man finds its heart in Tempranillo, Graciano and Garnacha and draws its inspiration from the stainless steel 'Tin Man' tanks in which it's matured.

Summer weather arrived early with consecutive days of around 35 degrees in November, but some rain in December helped brighten up the vines. Then fine weather between January and harvest provided perfect conditions for ripening.

Bright primary fruits of raspberry and cherry with just a touch of savoury funk to make things interesting.

Ruby berry fruits with fleshy mid palate weight and drying tannins. Well balanced and drinking beautifully now.

A perfect tapas wine! Serve it with a selection of grilled chorizo, marinated eggplant and sheep's milk feta. Buen provecho!

Expert Reviews

Tyson Stelzer (2010 Vintage) says
With not a splinter of wood in his armoury Tin Man sees no oak, instead showcasing red liquorice, red berries and fruit spice in a softly textural and freshly fruited blend.

WINESTATE (2010 Vintage) says
Bright simple dark fruit characters beautifully layered with dusty oak and fine tannins and showing toffee-like complexity.
Winestate Magazine, Mar/Apr
James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Light colour; a mix of spicy and savoury characters runs through the length of the light- to medium-bodied palate; red cherry and forest strawberries also come into play on a thoroughly interesting wine.
