WINESTATE (2010 Vintage) says
Jammy berry nose with slight medicinal notes and nice oak. Long well structured varietal fruit palate with a dash of dark chocolate.

James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
More in the Barossa style than McLaren Vale; light in colour and body, with sweet confection fruit flavours (not residual sugar).

WINESTATE (2007 Vintage) says
Chocolaty/earthy/raspberry aromas followed by attractive developing Turkish Delight flavours.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
You are either a Mr or an Esq, but not both, and there should be an apostrophe before the s; the wine? Light, spicy, savoury and enjoyable.
Australian Wine Companion 2009 2008
Nick Stock (2006 Vintage) says
Attractive ripe red fruits, some citrus peel as well, the oak adds savoury backing, there are mountain herbs too. Superb clarity-a straight varietal statement. Superb fleshy entry, it's been creamed out through the middle with some swanky oak; a fleshy, balanced and fine tannin slide to the finish. Brilliant.

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Medium red-purple; slightly heavier than typical Barossa grenache, but still lacks the concentration and structure McLaren Vale can achieve; redeemed in part by its sweet fruit. The Two Gentlemens (we are told) are Mr Ian Leask Esq and Mr Geoff Hardy Esq. You are either a mr, or an esquire, but you are not both.
Australian Wine Companion 2008 2007
James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Light- to medium-bodied; juicy berry red fruits; undemanding, quaffing style.
Australian Wine Companion 2007 2006
James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Much more structure and texture than is often the case with grenache; spicy red and black fruits; savoury underlay.
Australian Wine Companion 2006 2005
James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Light to medium-bodied, user-friendly and food-friendly; gently spicy/savoury.
