Expert Reviews

Jeremy Oliver (2010 Vintage) says
Vibrant, honest and flavoursome, this elegant, brightly lit young chardonnay maries fresh melon, mango, yellow peach and grapefruit flavours with light vanilla oak and a smoky hint of tobacco and lemony acids. It's bright and juicy, with a nutty, creamy texture and a fine underlying chalkiness.

Generous and juicy but smooth and elegant, this vibrant young chardonnay has a fresh aroma of peach, melon and restrained buttery vanilla oak. It's long, supple and creamy, with fresh flavours of citrus and melon with measured oak and lively acids.

Rather a broad, awkward and syrupy chardonnay whose round juicy expression of peachy, nutty and creamy fruit Is backed by toasty vanilla oak. It finishes soft and lemony but lacking focus and definition.

Fresh, bright nectarine and melon fruit; good balance, length and acidity; subliminal oak.

Creamy, peachy aromas of nectarine, cashew and sweet vanilla oak precede a juicy and vibrant palate whose smooth expression of stonefruit flavours is deftly balanced with restrained and lightly toasty vanilla oak. It finishes long and fresh.

Jeremy Oliver (2004 Vintage) says
A tangy, youthful chardonnay whose restrained expression of peachy melon fruit and lightly toasty vanilla oak delivers a creamy, long and well-oaked palate of length and brightness neatly tied by refreshing citrusy acidity. It has genuine potential to develop more richness and texture without becoming too broad and heavy.

James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Medium yellow-green; the light bouquet offers modest melon fruit, the palate showing a faint touch of oak, but not a lot of varietal flavour. One the other hand, it does have good length, is not forced, and will look better with another 12 months under its belt.

Jeremy Oliver (2001 Vintage) says
Honest, creamy, generous chardonnay with a smoky aroma of peach, melon and green olives, before a fleshy, juicy palate framed by lemony acids that should flesh out even further.

James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says
Medium green-yellow, bright and promising; the attractive, fruit-driven bouquet and palate offer melon and nectarine varietal fruit; a light to medium-bodied wine with no frills or pretensions.
