Light crimson-purple; an inviting cherry bouquet, then a long palate that is dry, but has deep red berry fruit and a spider web of tannins that provide texture and structure.

This youthful answer to 'beaujolais nouveau' (which itself has plenty to answer for) smells beautiful! Light colour and abundant lifted musky cherry and blueberry fruits, superb perfume. The palate's brightly stated and pure, flavours of raspberries and milk chocolate, soft and easy.

Fragrant, spiced plum aromas and flavours; good balance, and an unexpected result for the region and vintage; good acidity

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Light, vivid purple; has both flavour and structure interest; cherry and plum fruit in a nice shroud of acidity; 20% pigeage in open vessels.

Powerful black plum fruit and a touch of spice; presence without phenolics.

James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says
Bright purple-red; the bouquet is firm, clean and bright; the palate has attractive soft, sweet raspberry fruit, very much true to type for this Beaujolais variety.
