Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Strong crimson-purple; the Phaedrus style is extraordinarily consistent, with a depth of flavour and structure that puts it apart from the other Peninsula makers. Tasted blind, you would have no idea where the wine came from. All of that said, it's a mouth-filling wine with varietal character and time to go.

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Deep colour, with a blackberry, spice, barrel-ferment bacon bone complexity, and an intriguing savoury personality; juicy and generous on entry, with layers of black fruit giving way to chewy tannin and ironstone minerality to conclude.

James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
Gentle spice, pear and apple fruit; wanders along on the way to the finish.
Australian Wine Companion 2009 2008
James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
A generous wine; spiced plum fruit on the upper edge of ripeness; solid finish.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Clear, bright fruit style; a light- to medium-bodied mix of cherry, raspberry and blackberry fruit; good length and finish.
