Winemaker's Notes

Appearance: Brilliant green.

Nose: Absolutely fresh aromas of citrus, passionfruit and some secondary notes of greenage/nettles and mineral. Typically subtle.

Palate: More of the same on the palate with the soft tropical fruit flavours being balanced nicely by the crisp acidity and delivering a clean, dry and persistent finish.

Food: Great refreshing drink with all sorts of seafood and also matches spicy Asian dishes quite nicely. Drink this over the spring/summer months.

Light straw- green; an aromatic nettle, grass and straw bouquet is followed by a palate that adds some citrus, but remains fresh and light on its feet; a singular achievement for the Clare Valley

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Bright colour; a powerful and focused blend, with great energy and concentration to the long palate with its seamless mix of herb, citrus and passionfruit; good style, with time in front of it.

A faintly blurred bouquet; a firm palate, with good length, though the sauvignon blanc component is muted

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Well-made, but doesn't have the life and precision expected, and certainly less than the '05.
