Pirramimma White Label Tannat

Cracka Review

This Tannat wine has a bright garnet hue graduating to an excellent depth of brick red colour. The nose is lifted, exhibiting complex floral, quince, strawberry and spice characters that are well integrated after 2 years maturing in American Oak Barriques.

The palate is powerful, showing sun dried prunes coupled with cedary cigar box characters. The wine is well balanced and finishes with fine long tannins.

Pirramimma White Label Tannat

Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
A very interesting wine; Pirramimma has tamed the famous tannins of tannat, showing a nice carpet of red and black fruits; well Worth a look. It was the ferocious tannins of tannat in its French home region of Madeiran which led to the development of micro-oxygenation by local winemaker Patrick Ducournau.
