Pleasant Valley Gisborne Chardonnay

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (1996 Vintage) says
This very lightly oaked wine rests its case on drink-young charm. The 1996 vintage was briefly aged on its yeast lees in tanks and 35 per cent of the final blend was given a softening malolactic fermentation. Delicious by June, within three months of the harvest, it is a light yellow wine, fresh-scented and vibrantly fruity, with ripe citrusy flavours and a smooth, fractionally off-dry, buttery finish. Very easy-drinking indeed.
