James Halliday (2011 Vintage) says
Light straw-green; fruit-driven, first and foremost; the barrel-ferment input ex French oak is subtle, and the early picking has highlighted the grapefruit/citrus components on the long palate and aftertaste.

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Pale, bright straw-green; an elegant, perfectly balanced and articulated wine, so much so it might be possible to figuratively walk by it. On the elegant side of Mornington Peninsula chardonnay, minerally/ chalky acidity to the fore, white flesh stone fruit, apple and melon follow.

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Light straw-green; an elegant and finely tuned wine, with subtle barrel-ferment inputs into a relatively light-bodied palate; the flavours are of white peach, melon and fig until citrussy acidity comes through on the finish.

Nick Stock (2009 Vintage) says
The nose is impeccable here: really nicely worked, complex flinty aromas sit across bright citrus, chalky savoury aromas, some lemon citrus, white peach and hazelnutty oak. The palate's taut and steely; flavours push into riper chardonnay territory, though. Pine/lime fruits and a very tidy resolved structure here.

Pear and citrus aromas lead to a complex palate with fresh full ripe and round Mornington region fruit with a nice savoury edge. In 2010 a renegade style with ripe fruit but restrained citrusy fruit and a lees influenced finish.

Bright quartz-green; the bouquet is aromatic, but the magic of the wine comes from its super-intense palate, with waves of white peach and grapefruit that have swallowed the barrel ferment French oak contributions.

Has barely moved since it was bottled; still very tight and compressed, with citrus and stone fruit components, oak and minerally acidity all locked in a tight embrace.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Very lively, intense and fresh; one assumes the back label assertion of' whole berries fermented in open vats' was written for pinot, for this wine shows none of the rampant phenolics that would result from such treatment, just lovely citrus and stone fruit

White peach and citrus flavours; has excellent structure, controlled oak and crisp acidity all providing balance and length.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Medium straw-green; distinctly richer, sweeter, riper fruit, more to tropical peach than the '03; supple and mouthfilling.

James Halliday (2003 Vintage) says
Fine, elegant light-bodied wine; understated nectarine and melon fruit plus a whisk of oak.
