James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
A savoury blend of dark cherry, bramble, charcuterie and spice; the palate is fresh, despite the advanced colour, with red fruits coming to the fore and the ample tannins drawing out the finish; still in the elegant mould, but with a little more muscle than the Altior.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Light red; a light-bodied pinot, with red cherry fruit on both bouquet and palate; not easy to understand 21 months in oak, although it is true the fruit is fresh, the finish long.

James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
Showing some development, the bouquet with ripe cherry, plum, spice and a slight herbal note; elegantly structured with a mere suggestion of oak, the texture is the key with good persistence, and a velvet-like quality to conclude.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Strongly spicy savory components, but also quite lush red fruits, already showing signs of coming together

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Not entirely bright or clear colour; very spicy/savoury/foresty aromas, flavours running down the same track; in a particular style, the fruit needing a little more protection.
