Protero Gumeracha Viognier

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

This bonny, more medium-bodied viognier straddles the line between a steely and fleshy style showing aromas of ripe apricots, ginger spice and honeyed notes on the nose. The palate is fulsome without going into 'flabby' territory, with spiced stone fruit and toasty flavours, a flinty line of acidity, and a dry, lingering finish. Excellent with poached chicken, or even a Moroccan tagine.

Winemaker's Notes

Floral orange blossom, white peach and fresh apricot flavours intermingle on a silk textured palate finishing with clean acidity. A delicate and lean style, freshly balanced. Perfect with delicate culinary foods such as sashimi, sushi and shellfish.

Developed, toasty/honeyed apricot bouquet. Oak features on the palate but it's well done.
