Purple Hands Adelaide Hills Pinot Gris

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Purple hands are hopefully something you don't end up with after drinking this white Pinot Gris. Typical Pinot Gris aromas of pears, apples and almonds adorn the nose, whilst the palate is fresh and zippy with pear and citrus flavours, a rounded, creamy mouthfeel and a dry, crunchy finish.

Winemaker's Notes

Pale straw in colour. Varietal and enticing aromas jump from the glass with notes of pear skin, blossom and apple. The palate is showing typical Pinot Gris texture and is richly flavoured, natural acidity gives the balance required.

Drink now or cellar carefully and enjoy over the next 5 years.

Purple Hands Adelaide Hills Pinot Gris

Expert Reviews

Wine Companion (2015 Vintage) says
It dances with flavour and feels soft in the mouth; it also lingers appreciably. It gets the job done, calmly.

James Halliday (2014 Vintage) says
20% fermented in 2yo French oak, the balance in stainless steel. A faint pink-bronze colour points to some skin contact, adding mouthfeel and flavour, giving the wine a place on any table.
