Pyrenees Ridge Chardonnay

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Hailing from the beautiful Pyrenees region of Victoria, this friendly little chardonnay is full of Summer loving. There's no oak in this wine, which lets those abundant tropical fruit salad aromas and flavours shine though. The palate is light and nimble, with a peachy fruit flavoured middle, bright lemony acidity, and a crisp finish. No need for food, just chill and enjoy.

Winemaker's Notes

This Chardonnay has rich peach/nectarine and melon fruit flavours with just a hint of pineapple on the finish.

James Halliday (2011 Vintage) says
A lifted bouquet of nectarine, melon and a distinct pine resin edge; the palate is taut and racy, with quartz minerals and citrus notes lingering on the finish.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
A clean bouquet, with quite intense melon and citrus fruit, the palate has good length and balance, the kiss of French oak is entirely appropriate.
