Quarisa Wines Treasures Shiraz

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Dig around the vinous undergrowth and you’ll discover some real treasures and that’s what John Quarisa has unearthed with this Shiraz from Langhorne Creek. It’s the quality of the winemaking and the fruit that makes this wine such a winner and a valuable asset to your cellar. It’s loaded with cherry fruit, berries and spice before a typical Langhorne Creek palate that’s concentrated and intense with ripe fruit and spicy oak.

Winemaker's Notes

Appearance: Intense red purple.

Nose: Huge lifted fresh flavours of spice and pepper with ripe cherry berry fruit balance with cedar oak.

Palate: Big long intense mouthful of ripe berry fruit, hints of spice and pepper combined with sweet mocha oak.

Expert Reviews

WINESTATE (2010 Vintage) says
A solid, oak-driven style of shiraz but had enough black/red varietal fruit to match.
James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Good hue; savoury/briary/ chocolatey aromas are reminiscent of McLaren Vale, and the palate provides more of the same.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Good color; vibrant blackberry fruits and a little spice; good value for the money, and very fresh for age
