Red Claw Pinot Noir

Expert Reviews

Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2008 Vintage) says
Riper and sweeter than the 2007 and, as a result, higher in outright yum factor. It tastes of sweet strawberries, raspberries and Turkish delight, its sawdusty, hay-like oak adding a comforting level of complexity. It probably lacks a bit of persistence, but there's heaps to enjoy here.

Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2007 Vintage) says
Red Claw is the 'second' label of Yabby Lake/Heathcote Estate. There are so many fine heads behind this endeavour that it would be miraculous if the wines weren't good. A pinot noir with the lot. It smells and tastes of sour cherries, hay, burnt toast, dry twigs and smoked raspberries, yet it still seems light on its feet - as quality pinot noir often does. Succulent acidity and excellent persistence. Personality plus.
