Red Hill Estate Pinot Grigio

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Red Hill is one of the benchmark Mornington winery’s turning out stellar examples of the varieties that suit the region best. These are wines that put the cool into cool climate with elegance and finesse. It’s a Grigio, so expect a crisp clean taste of pear, citrus and apple. A long, textured palate flavoured with citrus and finishing with clean acids makes this an ideal wine for fresh seafood.

Winemaker's Notes

Pinot Grigio is mostly grown in Italy and the Alsace in France, where they produce styles ranging from delicate and high acid to big, rich and oily.

It is a grape that thrives in the cool maritime climate of the Mornington Peninsula. This wine is a blend of fruit from several of our vineyards across the Mornington Peninsula. Each vineyard produces subtly different characters giving the overall blend greater complexity.

Delicate restrained nose of complexity with pear, apple, musk and blossom. A long creamy textured palate with a mixture of pear, lemon and musk with bright acidity. Will drink best while young. 6 bottles to the case.

Delightful varietal nose thats all spices, blossoms and musk. The long, lingering and somewhat tight palate is brimming over with bright, lively, varietal fruit flavours.

Bright, crisp and clean; apple, melon and pear fruit in diminuendo, as is normal for the variety.
