Reillys Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon
Here's another fulsome style of red from this 140 year old wine estate that is great value for what's inside the bottle. Dense smells of cassis, red currants, mocha and a sprinkle of dried herbs decorate the nose, whilst the palate is full-bodied and ultra-juicy, with dark fruit flavours, some toasty oak, fine, savoury-edged tannins, and a lingering, poised, succulent finish. This would be great tonight with some roast lamb, but give it some air first to get the full effect.
From our low yielding, dry grown vineyards comes our premium Dry Land Cabernet Sauvignon. Only the most premium of the small Cabernet berries are hand picked from Smyth's Vineyard, then open fermented and basket pressed to produce this rich, full flavoured wine. Matured in French oak hogsheads for 24 months, this wine displays distinct regional characteristics of mint and eucalyptus with blackcurrant and chocolate.
