James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Massively proportioned with essency blackcurrant pastille and a huge amount of toasty new oak on the bouquet; the palate needs to be carved with a knife, as the tannin and fruit merely fight for attention; time may reward, but it will be a long time, and just hope the cork is a good one.
Australian Wine Companion 2012 2011
James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
High-quality Coonawarra cabernet, redolent of blackcurrant, mulberry and fresh earth; the texture, structure and oak handling are likewise admirable.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Vibrant colour; fresh and focused cassis with a touch of mint bouquet; good texture and weight, ample fine-grained tannins to match the abundant fruit.
Australian Wine Companion 2010
WINESTATE (2004 Vintage) says
Full-bodied wine, almost mahogany in colour and still holding together well with stewed fruit and soft tannins.
WINESTATE Volume 34 (2011)
James Halliday (2003 Vintage) says
Perfectly ripened cassis, blackcurrant and blackberry; good structure, ripe tannins and appropriate oak.
Australian Wine Companion 2007 2006
James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Fragrant cassis and blackcurrant; very well balanced and integrated oak; fine and supple tannins.
