Richard Hamilton Sauvignon Blanc Semillon

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Richard Hamilton is part of the Leconfield Wines portfolio, and this bright and zesty sav sem out of McLaren Vale would be just the thing with some fish cocktails and scallops. It's more gooseberry than passionfruit on the nose, with hints of grassiness and green citrus in the mix. The palate is lighter-bodied at 12.5% alcohol, with vibrant tropical flavours, a decent zip of lime-like acidity, and a crisp, dry, zesty finish.

Winemaker's Notes

Appearance: Light-medium straw with attractive green tints.

Nose: This is a fragrant wine displaying ripe gooseberry and fresh squeezed lime juice characters.

Palate: Zesty, flavoursome palate showing tropical flavours surrounding a long middle palate that finishes with a clean, refreshing, soft acidity.

Food: This wine makes an excellent aperitif and complements antipasti, fish and poultry.

Cellaring: Best enjoyed in its youth over the next 3 years.

Alcohol: 12.5%
