Rosemount Estate Diamond Label Riesling

Expert Reviews

Peter Forrestal (2007 Vintage) says
This will appeal to those who enjoy some development with their riesling. It is varietally correct, and has toasty developed characters with lemony notes and a powerful dry finish

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Pleasant, full-flavoured wine with a combination of lime, tropical and stone fruit flavours; shortens somewhat on the finish.

Light to medium yellow-green; a quite classic bouquet opens with slate/mineral then provides some citrus blossom; the palate loosens up and spreads out somewhat on the finish, but, all in all, something of a surprise packet.

Max Allen & Peter Forrestal (2001 Vintage) says
This is the first release of a riesling under Rosemount's extraordinarily successful Diamond Label and the wine is so good that we can see it slotting into the range for many years to come. There is a cool feel to the fruit so it's not surprising that the grapes have been sourced from regions like Padthaway, Coonawarra and Clare. It has light, appley aromas, crunchy, juicy, lemon-citrus flavours, and a slightly sweetish finish. An excellent debut.
