Ken Gargett (2004 Vintage) says
This wine was a nice early starter to the 2004 vintage. I saw it out and about in May and that, to my mind, is a good thing, not something to be criticised. This kind of wine, designed to be all fresh and bright and zippy, should be consumed within twelve months after the vintageÑmeaning your use-by date on this wine is about March 2005. Take a month off the grog after that and then start looking for the 2005.

Max Allen & Peter Forrestal (2000 Vintage) says
This is a remarkably good wine at the price thanks, in particular, to an outstanding vintage for semillon in the Hunter Valley. Chief wine- maker Philip Shaw is very clever at sourcing wines throughout Australia and, in this case, he has pulled in the sauvignon blanc from the Hunter, Margaret River, the Strathbogies and McLaren Vale. The 2000 Semillon Sauvignon Blanc has pronounced green pea aromas, some herbal and tropical fruit characters and lively cleansing acidity. This is a light yet intense, zesty white that has good crispness and impressive concentration of flavour.
