WINESTATE (2010 Vintage) says
Winestate Magazine, Mar/Apr 2012
Michael Cooper (2010 Vintage) says
Grown in the lire Valley, half-way between Blenheim and Kaikoura, this is a consistently classy wine. The 2009 vintage is youthful and refined, with substantial body, concentrated citrus and peach flavours, a subtle oak influence and a long finish. The 2010 was hand-picked from 12-year-old clone 95 vines, fermented and lees-aged for 10 months in French oak barrels (40 per cent new), and given a full, softening malolactic fermentation. Notably refined, it has rich, citrusy, mealy flavours, with a slightly creamy texture and lovely complexity, delicacy and harmony. It shows good potential, but is already delicious.
