Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
The 2009 vintage is a Sauternes style with a clear botrytis influence. Pale gold, with mouthfilling body and concentrated tropical-fruit flavours, it is sweet, gently honeyed and smooth, with good harmony and loads of drink-young appeal.

The great-value 2004 vintage is a Sauternes style, partly fermented and matured in French and American oak barriques. Mouthfilling, ripe, sweet (100 grams/litre of residual sugar) and concentrated, it has peach and marmalade flavours, slightly oily, rich and rounded.

Michael Cooper (2002 Vintage) says
The grear-value 2002 vintage is a light gold, 'Sauternes-style' wine from Montana, grown at Patutahi in Gisborne and matured in French oak casks. Lush, with a honeyed fragrance and powerful surge of sweet apricot and honey flavours, beautifully fresh, rich and rounded, it's a pleasure to drink from now onwards.
