Michael Cooper (2001 Vintage) says
If you haven't discovered the delights of Pinotage, try this. The 2001 grown in Marlborough, is deeply coloured, with a strong surge of plum, raspberry and spice flavours, oak complexity and ripe, supple tannins. The 2002 vintage is a Hawke's Bay wine, matured in American (55 per cent) and French oak casks. Grown in Montana's vineyard at Korokipo, it's full-coloured and crammed with warm, ripe, brambly, spicy flavour, with moderately firm tannins and rich varietal character.
