Ken Gargett (2006 Vintage) says
Chardy fans line up. This is a simple and thoroughly enjoyable quaffer for drinking over the next twelve months. Don't expect miracles, but you will get some attractive peach and stone fruit flavours with a little oak propping things up. There's lots of times when you don't need expensive bottles that will bring the anoraks out of hiding. This is the perfect wine for those times. Sure, it's obviousÑobviously enjoyable.

Appealing mineral, citrus and nectarine fruit with a ghost of oak; good balance.

Peter Forrestal (2005 Vintage) says
This Barossa Valley chardonnay will split followers of Quaff into the two camps - those who love their whites with plenty of oak and those who admire a more restrained use of oak. It's purely a matter of personal preference. This is a very good wine for the price with attractive cedary oak aromas; it's powerfully flavoured with tropical mangoes and papaya, has attractive creamy texture and a finish on which the oak dominates.
