Sherry is making a comeback, and why not! There's nothing like a cheeky fino on a warm day, and this one is great value - especially if you have not tried sherry before. Fino is a lighter style, and this one shows aromas of nuts, apple, caramel and green olives on the nose. This all translates to the palate, which is supported by crisp acidity, a salty texture, and a long, dry, talcy finish. This would be brilliant with proscutto-wrapped figs.
Top quality, small producer with a distinctive ‘swishing’ effortless palate style ... kinda like a Mark Waugh cover drive, but with no
lazy edges! They also produce arguably Spain’s finest brandy, and excellent vinegars.
Fine, great mouthfeel, clean snappy finish. Very dry and delicious with almond, briny green olive, chalk.
