Scarpantoni Unwooded Chardonnay

Cracka Review

This fresh, crisp and fruit drive white has a bouquet of green apples, limes and fragrant rose petals. The palate is lively and refreshing with zesty citrus, lychee and peach characters, balanced by crisp acidity with a clean, persistent finish.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Shows the tangy, citrussy overlay to nectarine fruit from the cool 2004 vintage; almost into Sauvignon Blanc.

Max Allen & Peter Forrestal (2004 Vintage) says
This unoaked chardonnay reflects its warm climate -McLaren Vale - provenance with really ripe, sweet-smelling, banana and peach flavours, and a generously proportioned, round richness in the mouth. Drink nice and cold to stop it cloying.

James Halliday (1996 Vintage) says
Medium yellow-green; clean, with plenty of concentration and varietal character in a classic melon/fig/white peach spectrum. A lively wine on the palate with good mouthfeel and balance, and more of those utterly correct varietal fruit flavours.
