Scott Base Central Otago Pinot Noir

Cracka Review

Having great depth of colour this beautifully fragrant 2008 Pinot Noir shows ripe plum, cherry fruit, dried herbs and spice characters along with impressive weight, concentration and complexity. With well ingrated French oak this wine is rich and dense, elegant with velvety tannins. The finish is enticing and long.

Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
From Allan Scott, the 2009 vintage is a single-vineyard red, grown at Cromwell and matured for a year in French oak casks (25 per cent new). It's a moderately rich wine, ruby-hued, with fresh, vibrant cherry and plum flavours, showing considerable complexity.
