Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
This is always a bold style, concentrated and creamy, with lashings of flavour. The 2009 vintage was fermented and matured for a year in American oak barriques (new and one year old). Pale yellow, it has fresh, strong grapefruit and peach flavours, seasoned with toasty oak, and good acid spine. Worth cellaring.

Michael Cooper (2004 Vintage) says
This is a bold style, concentrated and creamy, with lashings of flavour. The 2003 vintage is rich and toasty, with deep grapefruit and butterscotch flavours in a fragrant, upfront style. The 2004 was matured for 14 months in new American (85 per cent) and French oak casks, with full malolactic fermentation. Light yellow, it shows good complexity, with ripe, peachy, toasty, slightly honeyed flavours, rich and smooth.

Michael Cooper (1997 Vintage) says
The 1996 vintage of Seifried's premier Chardonnay is the best yet - a more finely balanced wine than past vintages, with a lovely depth of ripe, slightly buttery, grapefruit/citrus flavours, nutty oak and fresh acidity. Grown at Appleby, the 1997 is an exuberantly wooded wine, matured for 10 months in new American oak barriques, followed by a further eight months in one-year-old French barriques. An upfront style with mouthfilling body, rich, ripe fruit flavours and a rounded finish, it needs keeping to 2000 onwards to achieve a finer fruit/oak balance.
