Selaks Founders Reserve Hawke's Bay Syrah

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2002 Vintage) says
Crown in the I'ykes Flat block, on the banks of the Mohaka River, in northern Hawke's Bay, the delicious 2002 vintage was harvested at over 24 brix and matured for 14 months in one-year-old French oak barriques (70 per cent) and new American oak barriques (30 per cent). It's a deeply coloured wine with a fragrant, peppery bouquet, deep blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours and a well-rounded finish. A forward style, it shows lovely ripeness, richness and varietal definition.
