Made by the 120 year old, fourth generation family run Sensi winery in Tuscany, this unusual mixed pack is like a highlights reel dedicated to one of the great grapes of Italy, Sangiovese. A show bag of Tuscan delights, in several different flavours.

There's 3 wines in this pack (2 of each) and each shows a different face of Sangiovese. There's a Sangiovese Shiraz, to give some almost Aussie richness; a structured and firm Sangiovese Cabernet blend and finally a 100% Sangiovese from the famed Etruscan village of Scansano.

Not only are these three wines utterly delicious, all come rated by the 'Italian James Halliday', Luca Maroni.

The appeal here is simple - if you love savoury, food-friendly, medium-bodied red wines, this case is a winner. More than just variety, the diversity of Sangiovese variants here represents a real taste of Tuscany - a taste of Italy even - all in one very well-priced six pack.

Winemaker's Notes

This mixed pack features:

2x 2013 Sensi Mantello Sangiovese Shiraz (97 points Luca Maroni) - Mantello is a blend of two strong and elegant kind of grapes, Sangiovese & Shiraz, that, after a separate fermentation, are blended to be aged in oak barrels, for at least six months, obtaining a perfect balance between fine aromas of tobacco, spices, vanilla, velvet tannins and blackberry fruits, exalted by a full-bodied and wrapping taste which shows the character of this unique super Tuscan wine.
2x 2013 Sensi Testardo Sangiovese Cabernet (93 points Luca Maroni) - It is made from Sangiovese and Cabernet grapes separately fermented and then aged twelve months in wood and six months in bottle. It has a deep red colour, a full taste with vanilla and flower aromas together with smooth velvety tannins.
2x 2015 Sensi Pretorio Morellino Di Scansano (90 points Luca Maroni) - Made from Sangiovese grapes and produced in Scansano, on the southern coasts of Tuscany, where the ancient Etruscan people built their civilisation, this wonderful red wine honours its precious origins. It has a deep ruby-red colour, a wrapping full taste with hints of red fruits, violet and minerals.
