Seppeltsfield 'Flora' DP117 Palomino Pale Dry Fino

Cracka Review

Colour: Brilliant pale yellow with a green hue.

Nose: The nose is stylish and refined with the classic nutty, toasty, tangy aromas of top quality fino.

Palate: The palate is intense, with a lively, clean freshness and tangy, flor-sherry flavours. Flavours seem to build and offer new dimensions long after the wine is swallowed, before finally evolving to a bone-dry, palate cleansing finish.

Nick Stock says
DP117 is a long-established leader in Australian fino-style sherry. A new name and the same old reliable goodness - really nutty with a gentle dry melon and citrus fruit aroma, some fresh-tanned leather and a flinty, light dry finish. Remember to drink this fresh and soon after opening.

James Halliday says
Pale straw-green; a great bouquet, highly aromatic, tangy and fresh; the palate follows precisely in the footsteps of the bouquet, with a mix of nutty/green apple characters on the mid-palate, then a gloriously fresh, dry and breezy finish. This has more character than Manzanilla; 500 ml.

Peter Forrestal says
This is Australia's finest example of the fino style, and has been for a very long time. It is made from free-run juice of the Spanish sherry grape, palomino, from the Barossa Valley, which is matured in a solero system for an average of seven years. It is fragrant, almost sea-salty, fine and delicate, yet intense and mouth-puckering, finishing dry and tangy
