Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Many of the characteristics of the Reserve are present, but with greater intensity on the length of the palate; the Chablis-like mouthfeel and flavour continues, but the back-palate and finish do not dip or shorten. Sophisticated winemaking.

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Deep colour; a very nutty wine, with high levels of oak, juicy grapefruit and vibrant acidity on the very toasty finish.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Has unusual intensity for McLaren Vale; lovely nectarine and grapefruit aromas and flavours; quality oak; delicate finish.

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Takes the many qualities of the Reserve, but lifts the intensity; oak is again evident (Perle Blanche barriques) but is in balance with the nectarine, fig and melon fruit; good length. You also know the barrel no. was 5F684, bottle no. 788.
