Seville Estate Chardonnay

Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2011 Vintage) says
As good an expression of Yarra Valley chardonnay as you are likely to find: tightly framed and focused white peach, grapefruit and creamy/nutty nuances have all the drive and energy you could wish for, the aftertaste as potent as the first taste.

Tyson Stelzer (2011 Vintage) says
This wine rises to every more lofty planes of refinement with each vintage, attaining breathtaking heights of grace and harmony in the cool 2011 season. Perfectly judged fruit concentration is supported by notes of spice and struck flint.

Tyson Stelzer (2010 Vintage) says
Seville Estate is one of the mainstays of Upper Yarra viticulture, and the outstanding 2010 vintage has elevated its Estate Chardonnay to new heights of textural minerality, seamless precision, pristine fruit clarity and expertly crafted styling. Pure, focused and fresh grapefruit and white peach are beautifully integrated with cashew nut French oak, finishing with outstanding persistence.

Wine Taste Edition 67
James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
This is a highly expressive and savoury wine, showing charcuterie, pear, citrus blossom and a touch of spicy oak; the palate is linear, pure, racy and enthralling, leaving a trail of broken-hearted taste buds in its wake; truly expansive and expressive, if you need to be convinced of the Yarn's suitability for Chardonnay, this may be the wine you simply have to try.
