Sherwood Estate Canterbury Pinot Noir

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (1996 Vintage) says
Dayne Sherwood sees this low-priced wine as offering "a glimpse of what Pinot Noir can be". Ensconced in a claret-shape bottle, the 1996 vintage is a simple quaffer, based on heavier-cropping vines at West Melton. Forty per cent of the final blend was matured in seasoned oak casks. Light in colour, body and flavour, it offers fresh, simple, crisp, raspberryish flavours, lacking ripeness and richness.
