Is it just us, or do some Aussie reds taste just a bit too acidic at times? Mattinson thought this one did. OK, so the flavour is good - but there seems to be a lot of acidity here. It became distracting. It's otherwise sweet and porty and chocked with Christmas cake-like flavour. Indeed it would probably team better with a rich, heavy dessert than it would with most main course dishes. Lots of fluffy bubbles. Not bad.
