Sibling Rivalry Geelong Pinot Noir

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Here we have an easy-drinking, 'happy go lucky' pinot noir that is extremely smooth and glugable. Aromas of red berries, plums and soft, earthy spices run around the glass, whilst the palate is medium-bodied and friendly, with a fleshy plummy middle, silky tannins, and a soft, juicy fruity finish. Would be great with pappardelle and duck ragu.

Winemaker's Notes

A premium addition to the Four Sisters family, the Sibling Rivalry range sources fruit from some of Victoria’s most highly respected wine regions. There’s nothing like some friendly rivalry to bring out the best in a family! The 2010 Sibling Rivalry Pinot Noir has led us to Victoria’s Surf Coast and the cool climate region of Geelong.

The aroma is enticing with intense plum, cherry and strawberry fruit with a hint of spicy oak. The fresh fruit momentum continues on the palate with vibrant plum and dark stone fruits finishing with some firm acid, beautiful tannins and integrated oak.

Classically matched with Peking Duck, this wine would also suit other roasted game meats or porcini mushroom risotto.
