Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
At the opposite end of the spectrum to the standard, barrel fermentation and lees contact (plus mlf) immediately obvious on the bouquet; the fruit makes a major comeback on the long palate, with the intensity needed to provide balance. For release in 2011.

WINESTATE (2009 Vintage) says
Nose a melange of melons, peaches and lemons, while the palate is brimming over with good clean flavours edged with wild yeast characters.

Ray Jordan (2009 Vintage) says
Plenty of action happening in this powerful Chardonnay. Has been given a fair whack of lees treatment which is evident on the nose and the palate immediately. Crisp nutty and minerally grapefruit character provide structure and substance. Rich and lavish in the middle palate with a long finish.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Light, fresh, crisp and delicate style, with nectarine and white peach joined by subtle French oak; well made, and not forced. Screwcap

Ray Jordan (2008 Vintage) says
Has fulfilled the promise of when I tasted it last year. The French oak influences manifests itself with a delightful smoky character that sits in the light stone fruit and citrus flavours. Fine delicate acid sustains a very long finish. Texture and mouth feel are very hood.
