Smithbrook Naked Grape Cabernet Merlot

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, a marriage made in Heaven? Possibly. Here the talented mob at Smithbrook have crafted a fine example of the regional blend that put "Margs" on the map. The "Naked" refers to the lack of interference by the winemakers, allowing the quality of fruit to do all the talking. It's make in an easy drinking and fruit forward style, ready for you to drink the moment it arrives at your door. Pair it with a hearty beef and vegetable soup for a delightful winter warmer.

Winemaker's Notes

A blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon and 46% Merlot, all from premium Margaret River vineyards. This wine has a bright ruby red colour with aromas of ripe blackcurrant and red fruit nuances, as well as rich chocolate and vanilla overtones. This is a medium- to full-bodied wine displaying rich, ripe red and black fruits. The tannins are soft, well balanced and full bodied in their approach.

Alc/Vol: 14.5%
