Squawking Magpie The Chatterer Merlot Malbec
Made from a blend of mostly merlot and malbec, this is quite a medium-bodied wine that still manages to be a little 'in your face'. Plums, raspberries and blueberries rise from the glass, along with whiffs of earthiness, coffee and spicy oak. The palate has elegance, but does have some bold plum and savoury flavours, with some fine and sandy tannins, and a smoothness to the finish that makes it a pretty good quaff.
This wine is deep in colour with a layered fragrant nose of ripe plum and cassis with lifted vanilla, cedar and tobacco notes. The palate has a rich velvet texture with excellent stucture, ripe black fruits and cassis flavours with long full finish. Great cellaring wine for up to five years.
