Squawking Magpie The Chatterer Syrah

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

This medium-bodied style of syrah from Squawking Magpie is bright and easy to come at. Smells of red berries, black pepper and subtle dark berries adorn the nose, with just a hint of dried herbs. The palate is elegant and plushly fruited, with pepper and berry flavours, some fine tannins, and a juicy finish. Great with some Moroccan-spiced lamb chops.

Winemaker's Notes

Dark and concentrated showing peppery and toasty oak characters, this wines has supple tannins with a firm, smooth and spicy finish. WINESTATE (2007 Vintage) says
Cool, peppery nose with a suggestion of spices and plums. Much the same on the simple palate.
