James Halliday (2012 Vintage) says
Barrel Fermentation in French oak seems to have nehanced the tropical fruit flavours, not what one might expect, given the modest alcohol; perhaps the 30-year-old vines are the answer. Whatever, it's a rich and complex wine.

Jeremy Oliver (2012 Vintage) says
Elegant and complex, with funky, faintly briny aromas of gooseberries, melon and a hint of iodine precede a brightly lit palate whose vivacious presence of fruit moves steadily towards a long, savoury finish of racy acidity.

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
As the name suggests, has been barrel- fermented and given lees contact until bottled in Aug '10. There has been no loss of fruit freshness, with attractive citrus and gooseberry fruit running through the length of the palate.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
A firm wine with considerable depth, but muted varietal character - which may well suit some palates.
